Immersion Blender
Purpose
A handheld, stick-shaped blender that purées soups, sauces, and emulsions directly in the pot — no transferring hot liquids to a countertop blender. Fast, easy to clean, and safer for hot foods.
Usage
Submerge the head completely before turning on to avoid splattering. Move slowly through the pot in circular motions. Tilt slightly to avoid suction on the pot bottom. For best results with soups, remove from heat first. Perfect for emulsifying vinaigrettes in a mason jar.
Buying Guide
Look for a stainless steel shaft (plastic can stain). Variable speed is nice but not essential. A detachable shaft makes cleaning easier. Avoid cheap models — weak motors struggle with thick soups. A mid-range model is the sweet spot.
