By accessing and using The Cook Book ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Site.

The Cook Book is a free, open-source recipe and cooking reference website. The Site provides:

User Accounts and Authentication

To submit reviews and ratings, you must sign in using a Google account. By signing in, you:

• Confirm that you are at least 13 years of age
• Agree that your display name and profile photo may be shown publicly alongside your reviews
• Are responsible for all activity under your account

User-Generated Content

Your Reviews

When you post a review or rating, you:

• Retain ownership of your content
• Grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your review on the Site
• Are solely responsible for the content you submit

Content Standards

You agree not to post content that:

• Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Infringes on any intellectual property rights of others
• Contains spam, advertising, or promotional material
• Impersonates any person or entity
• Contains malicious code or attempts to exploit the Site

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these standards without notice.

Intellectual Property

The Cook Book's original content, including recipes written in CKL (Culinary Knowledge Language), design, and code, is open-source and available under the terms of the project's license. See the project repository for license details.

Trademarks

"The Cook Book" and "CKL" names and associated logos are used to identify this project. They may not be used in connection with any product or service that is likely to cause confusion.

Disclaimers

Cooking Safety

Recipes and cooking instructions are provided for informational purposes. While we strive for accuracy:

• Always use common sense and proper food safety practices
• Verify internal temperatures with a reliable thermometer
• Be aware of food allergies and dietary restrictions
• We are not responsible for any injury, illness, or damage resulting from following recipes on this Site

No Warranty

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Site
